Good Friday Miracles Witnessed at Crusade in Atlanta

“A powerful new season of Miracle Crusades continues!” Pastor Benny Hinn announced to people from throughout the Southeast and beyond who gathered at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta on April 1–2, 2010.

About 16,000 people attended the three Atlanta services that concluded with a historic Good Friday Communion Miracle Service. As the services commenced, a group of prayer warriors met in a nearby room to intercede for the crusade and for God’s power to be revealed. Amid the fresh, new worship and intercession was a mighty anointing for miracles.

Thursday Evening Highlights
The Lord had spoken to Pastor Benny to bring a fresh sound to crusade music, so an inspiring, moving sound with a crusade choir and expanded orchestra, directed by Greg Wiggins, the amazing soloist Micah Stampley, and the youthful Benny Hinn Voices kicked off the services.

Pastor Benny began his sermon by focusing on the verse, “God is love” (1 John 4:8). “In no place in the Bible are we told, `God is power.’ Yet we read, ‘God is love!’ God doesn’t heal because of His power. He heals because of His love.”

Using verse after verse, Pastor Benny shared how God was merciful and eager to show His love to people: “In heaven today, Jesus is our merciful, compassionate High Priest. And tonight it is imperative that we begin to see His love rather than His power. We must place ourselves in reach of His compassion. It’s what happened in the house of Cornelius. All the people in that house were filled with the Holy Spirit because they placed themselves within reach.”

He told about the Lord’s decision to receive affliction for us: “In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old” (Isaiah 63:9).

“I am here to tell you tonight that God will heal you!” Pastor Benny proclaimed directly to the people of all ages who had come to the crusade needing a touch from God. “When Jesus becomes real to an individual, he or she will be healed! When the presence of Jesus becomes more real to you than your sickness, you will be healed! Miracles happen in the presence of the Lord. Sickness goes when Jesus comes!”

Friday Morning Highlights
Anointed teaching continued as Pastor Benny moved through the Bible, beginning with Genesis 3:15, focusing on the promise of redemption that God has revealed to mankind through seven covenants: with Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, the new covenant, and the eternal covenant.

“God is a covenant-making, covenant-keeping God,” he taught. “There can be no relationship with Him without a covenant. Those with whom He made a covenant are the ones who carried the seed of the Messiah. This Bible I hold in my hand is one revelation. The Word of God is the revelation of His Son. Every story, everything in the Bible, deals with the Messiah. And every covenant had promises, conditions, and a seal.”

Good Friday Candlelight Communion Miracle Service
“What happened at Passover?” Pastor Benny asked during the final crusade service that continued a long tradition of Good Friday observances. “His precious blood was shed seven times. It was so severe that we are told, ‘As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men’ (Isaiah 52:14). It was Jesus’ blood that was shed for us.”

The evening continued with beautiful cross-themed music as Pastor Benny read Scripture and led the crowd in communion.

As with each of the evening services, after the majestic-sounding choir created an atmosphere of praise and worship, Pastor Benny offered touching salvation message then invited those who wanted to receive Jesus as their Savior to come forward.

People began to run toward the front. The entire front and aisles were jammed with people of all ages who wanted to become Christians.

After the group prayer, Pastor Benny ministered to several personally, reminding each that the past was under the blood and therefore forgotten because of Jesus’ forgiveness.

Miracle Highlights
Powerful miracles took place throughout the Miracle Crusade. Each time, as his message came to a close, a strong anointing for miracles descended and people began to feel God’s healing touch all over the auditorium.

Mighty miracles included these:

• Thursday evening, a lady in a wheelchair, suffering for seven years with Parkinson’s disease, osteoporosis, and broken ribs was healed. She testified of no pain as she marveled what God had done for her. “There’s no pain,” she exclaimed. “I can walk!”
  
  
• Another woman, arriving in a wheelchair, had suffered with poor circulation and related problems for a year. As God touched her body, she began to walk and move about without pain.
  
  
• A lady using a walker had suffered with balance problems for nearly 10 months. She was healed, as was her sister, during the first miracle service.
  
  
• A lady came forward to testify of suffering with cancer for five years. She had undergone seven operations and 30 chemo treatments for softball-size cancerous tumors in her stomach. She had not been out of bed for three months and was unable to walk or sit without great pain. She came to the service to testify of God’s healing touch, sharing that while watching Pastor Benny’s program, This Is Your Day, she had been miraculously healed! The tumors had vanished, all the pain was gone, and she could walk without pain!
  
  
• A woman came to the platform to testify of God’s healing touch on her body. Awaiting a transplant, she had required an oxygen machine, day and night, because she only had the use of one-fourth of her lung. During the service, the healing power of the Holy Spirit touched her body. Acting on her faith, she removed the breathing apparatus, previously impossible. She then walked to the stage unassisted with no breathing difficulties.
  
  
• A Vietnam veteran, suffering a back injury during his service for his country, had been unable to walk and was confined to a wheelchair because of the pain. During the service, all the pain left and he began to walk with ease!
  
  
• A mother and her two-year-old son, Preston, came to the platform. Preston had not been holding food down and suffered from diabetes. During the service his mother felt led to test the glucose levels in his blood a number of times, and the sugar level was within the normal range! She wept tears of gratitude to the Lord as Pastor Benny prayed for the toddler.
  
  
• A lady shared that she had experienced two miracles during the service! First, she had suffered with 75 percent hearing loss in her right ear and 25 percent hearing loss in her left ear. She came to testify that her hearing had been restored. She could hear clearly as Pastor Benny whispered softly from a distance. She also stated that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and the tumor under arm had vanished during the service after her hearing was healed!
  
  
• A lady born with spina bifida had undergone 22 operations prior to the Good Friday Candlelight Communion Miracle Service. During the evening she stepped out of her wheelchair and suddenly had full range of motion and no pain!
  
  
• A young man who had been shot seven times in 2002 came to the platform to testify about the changes he had experienced in his body during the service. Four of the bullets had gone into his brain, one in his heart, two in his chest. He had undergone brain reconstruction shortly after the shooting and had suffered with amnesia and was blind in one eye, with no peripheral vision. As God’s healing power moved over the audience, the man could suddenly see, and even his peripheral vision was restored!
  
  
• A 10-year-old boy, with a birth defect that caused pain in his crooked feet, was healed during the Good Friday service and the pain was gone.
  
  
• A woman 80 years of age with fibromyalgia, arriving in a wheelchair, walked onto the platform to testify of God’s healing touch. Pastor Benny took her by the hand and together they ran back and forth across the stage. She was pain free and moved with ease.
  
  
• A lady dealing with pain from osteoarthritis for four years was healed and shared excitedly that all her pain had vanished!
  
  
• A lady with a ruptured disc was healed and the pain was gone.
  
  
• A man was healed of cancer in the chest.
  
  
• A lady came forward to testify of her healing from cancer.
  
  
• A man who had suffered a stroke three days earlier came to testify to Pastor Benny and the audience that all his symptoms had vanished as the healing power of the Holy Spirit touched his body.
  
  
• Two ladies with lower-back problems were dramatically healed.
  
  
• A lady came to the platform to testify that her tumors had vanished.
  
  
• Two girls with rheumatoid arthritis for several years were healed and free from pain.

During this historic Miracle Crusade in Atlanta, there were so many miracles and testimonies of healing that all who received them were unable to come to the platform because of time.
