Title: Project Manager Direct Mail

In this role you will be an integral part of our Marketing Team reporting to the Director.
- Responsible for managing production of all direct mail projects and products. Works with vendors and moves projects forward to completion.
- Requires Marketing or Business degree and 2-3 years experience with direct mail, marketing, product development/production, editorial, and printing procedures.
- Requires strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills and attention to detail.
- Broad understanding of ministry or non-profit procedures is a plus.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all aspects of direct mail fund-raising projects, including:
- Setting & monitoring critical due dates to achieve required drop dates
- Coordinating content and direction with internal and external teams to move copy through proper pre-design channels (writing, editing, and approvals)
- Coordinating with internal and external design and print vendors to move copy through proper production channels (formatting/design, posting to printers, and proof approvals)
- Scheduling and coordinating various print projects with creative team and print/direct mail vendors, including concept, content, design, editing, pre-press, and printing stages.
- Work closely with and under the supervision of the Marketing Director and coordinating projects with marketing team members, keeping them and other departments up to date on status of all direct mail projects.
- Assist as needed with coordination of development and production of all products, including books, booklets, teaching CDs/DVDs, gift items, and other resources.
- Oversee daily operations of print and design vendors, assuring that they are meeting established deadlines and controlling costs as prescribed by ministry.
- Create and manage project archive files.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Born-again with a high level of commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent publishing/printing/direct mail experience
- 2+ years experience in project management in a direct mail, publishing, printing, or related business; ad or graphic design agency experience a major plus
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (experience with publishing software a major plus)
- Strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Strong attention to detail
